Gialosis right on the peer of Pollonia, facing the sea. A team of young and efficient people have in the end opened their restaurant, after years of culinary experience elsewhere.
You can feel they love their work and all are very helpful to clients. In the evenings the cosy port of Pollonia becomes crowded with tourists, in the pleasant atmosphere created by the Pollonia's bay, with its small boats and lights in the sea: Gialos is "the" tavern there!
Achileas, the chef, has created a number of plates that are surprisingly tasty and well presented. From cold to warm appetizers: marinated anchovies , fish carpaccio, pies,"taramosalata", "fava" and tarts, to salads: all tasty! Spaghetti with various sauces, sea food and meats, grilled or in the oven. The desserts recall the French cousine: try the hot chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream!
A collection of Greek "ouzo" may accompany your appetizers and food. A good selection of Greek white and red wines is available. Wine is served in the right glasses, and at the right temperature.
